Alessandro is an Italian-Swedish writer and director born and raised in Tuscany. Moving to a new country at the age of 21, having to slowly re-wire his brain and adapt to Swedish society, has certainly influenced his work as a filmmaker. Across his films, Alessandro, soon a father of three, explores themes such as family, identity and social expectations. He leans against genre and dark humor to examine the moral tensions hidden within everyday life.

His 2023 short film KAKOR had a long festival run, including screenings at Academy-qualifying festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand and the Melbourne International Film Festivals - and was broadcasted by BeTV (Belgium) and SVT.

His latest short GOD MOR, premiered at Göteborgs Film Festival 2026 and was co-produced and broadcasted by SVT.

Alongside his narrative work, Alessandro has over ten years of experience directing commercials.

He currently lives in Malmö with his family, where he is developing his debut feature film TRÄPOJKEN, with first-feature development support from the Swedish Film Institute.
